Responsible Gaming

Our Commitment

At EspoVersus, we want competitive gaming to stay enjoyable and under your control. Skill-based tournaments for an Entry Fee involve financial risk, and for a small number of people gaming can become harmful. We are committed to promoting responsible gaming and to providing tools, reminders, and resources that help you play within your means and recognise when to take a break. Responsible gaming is a shared responsibility: we provide the safeguards, and we encourage you to use them and to keep gaming as one part of a balanced life.

18+ Only

The Platform is strictly for users aged 18 and above. We use age-gating and KYC verification to help prevent minors from accessing paid features. If you are under 18, please do not use the Platform.

Self-Imposed Limits

We provide tools that let you set your own limits, so you decide what is comfortable for you:

  • Deposit limits: set a maximum amount you can add to your Wallet on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Time limits: set daily or session play-time limits to manage how long you play.

Once set, limits take effect promptly. Reducing a limit applies quickly, while increasing a limit may include a short cooling-off period.

Self-Exclusion

If you need a break, you can choose self-exclusion. You may take a temporary break for a fixed cooling-off period, or opt for a longer or permanent self-exclusion. During self-exclusion, access to paid Tournaments is blocked, and we will not target you with promotional messages about paid play. You can request self-exclusion through the in-app settings or by contacting support. Temporary self-exclusions end automatically when the chosen period expires; permanent self-exclusion is intended to be a lasting decision, and lifting it, where permitted, may require verification and a cooling-off period to protect your wellbeing.

Reality Checks & Session Reminders

We provide reality-check reminders and session alerts that notify you of how long you have been playing and how much you have spent, so you can pause and make informed decisions. We encourage you to keep these reminders switched on. A few simple habits also help: set a budget before you play, never chase losses, take regular breaks, and avoid playing when you are stressed, tired, or upset. Treat any Entry Fees you spend as the cost of entertainment, not as a way to make money.

Warning Signs of Problem Gaming

It may be time to seek support if you:

  • Spend more money or time than you intended, or chase losses.
  • Borrow money or neglect work, studies, or relationships to keep playing.
  • Feel anxious, irritable, or low when not playing.
  • Hide your gaming or spending from family and friends.
  • Feel unable to stop even when you want to.

Help Resources

If gaming is affecting your wellbeing, free professional help is available in India:

  • Tele-MANAS — the Government of India's 24x7 toll-free national mental-health helpline: 14416 (or 1-800-891-4416).
  • SHUT Clinic, NIMHANS (Service for Healthy Use of Technology), Bengaluru — a specialised service for healthy technology use and technology-related concerns.

Please reach out early; seeking help is a sign of strength.

Parental Controls

Because the Platform is 18+, we provide parental-control tools and guidance to help parents and guardians prevent underage access on shared devices. Parents and guardians can use device-level controls and supervision features to restrict app installation and access for minors. If you believe a minor has accessed the Platform, please contact us immediately at support@espoversus.com so we can disable the relevant Account and take appropriate action.
